College Park, University of Maryland

Alpha Omega Epsilon Upsilon Chapter

On March 27, 2010, A.O.E. will be hosting our first annual “Turtle Trot” 5k Walk/Run to benefit GEMS. Girls Excelling in Math and Science is a local project that encourages the participation of girls in science and technology in Prince George’s County Middle Schools. In cooperation with UMD community outreach programs, GEMS offers after-school enrichment classes in math and science, field trips to math and science educational research centers, and family meetings that provide parents with the opportunity to engage in their children’s learning process.
